BIBLE VERSE: ”Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?” —1 Samuel 28:16
BIBLE THOUGHT: There are 5 warnings/lessons for us in 1 Samuel 28, about being an enemy of God.
- You cannot get thru to God…verse 6….. To be cut off from God is a scary situation
- You will seek other means for direction…verse 7…..When you turn from God you will always turn to the world
- You will loose your status…verse 8….. From a leader to a beggar
- You will find God’s Word has not changed….verses 16-17…..(1 Samuel 15:17-26)
- You will not be able to change the outcome…verse 19
DAILY THOUGHT: Saul was crowned as a king and killed as an enemy. All because he thought his way was better than God’s way. (read 1 Samuel 15). My friend, be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth that will he also reap. If this is your life, get right with God before he becomes your enemy!
