Methodist in bed with Islam

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) http://www.wmctv.com- Heartsong Church in Cordova has gained international attention due to the church’s goodwill toward Muslims in the Mid-South.

The unlikely bond between a Christian church and a Muslim church began moments after Heartsong Church Pastor Steve Stone put up a sign after learning the Memphis Islamic Center Complex was being built near his church.
“About three days it took us to put up a red banner that said, ‘Welcome to the Neighborhood Memphis Islamic Center’,” said Stone.  “Our call is to love them.”
“We saw this sign … and we were just floored,” sand Danish Siddiqui with the Memphis Islamic Center.
Stone said he wanted to take the friendship one step further.
“They called us and asked us if they could use the facility,” said Stone.  “Their facility wasn’t going to be complete by the time Ramadan began.”
Stone said by putting out a welcome mat for Muslims, it will send a positive message to those who might associate Christians with being anti-Islam.  All this comes despite a Florida church’s plan to burn the Quran on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
“I can’t judge the pastor’s heart, mind or motive,” said Stone.  “But I will judge the act as sad and hateful, and to me, insulting to the Jesus that I know and love who died to prove love is the most powerful force in the universe.”
Siddiqui said the bond has broken down walls between the two religions.
“We’ve broken down a lot of stereotypes and questions about each other’s faiths and misconceptions,” sand Siddiqui.  “It really does make a lot of sense.” —The End.

It may make a lot of sense to man but according to God’s Word it is wrong to associate with the devil. Which is what Islam is. This Methodist Church is a prime example of the weak minded beliefs of Ecumenicalism.  The actions of this Pastor and church may look good in the eyes of the world, but in God’s eyes your actions are lukewarm and he will spew you out of His mouth.  (Rev.3:15-16)

We are told in 2 Corinthians 6:14-15.  ”Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?  2 Corinthians 6:17.  ”Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord”

What has happened to the “contenders of the faith”?………..

…..and theses are The Signs of the Times…….
