From the beginning of Christianity, simply referred to as “the way” in the bible, men have tried to add to and take from the Word of God and somehow get an edge on their fellow man; thus, making it almost impossible for men to achieve the salvation that was promised by the gift of grace from God through faith in Christ. As Christians we have a duty to expose the doctrines of devils so that our fellow brothers and sisters will not fall to the seducing spirits that promise salvation through other means than is promised us in scripture.

The Catholic Church has issued many such false doctrines (those that are not supported by scripture) over the years and we have every intention of warning our brothers and sisters of these falsehoods, so that they should not fall into the lies that are issued outside of God’s Word. We have no need to bring railing accusations, as God will rebuke the wrongs of this world. We will simply attempt to present their own doctrines and compare them to what we know of the infallible Scriptures.

This week’s piece of Catholic Catechism is accredited to, and can be found in entirety at: http://www.kofc.org/un/catechism/

“Outside the Church there is no salvation”

846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? 335 Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body:

Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is necessary for salvation: the one Christ is the mediator and the way of salvation; he is present to us in his body which is the Church. He himself explicitly asserted the necessity of faith and Baptism, and thereby affirmed at the same time the necessity of the Church which men enter through Baptism as through a door. Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it. 336

847 This affirmation is not aimed at those who, through no fault of their own, do not know Christ and his Church:

Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience – those too may achieve eternal salvation. 337

848 “Although in ways known to himself God can lead those who, through no fault of their own, are ignorant of the Gospel, to that faith without which it is impossible to please him, the Church still has the obligation and also the sacred right to evangelize all men.” 338

The unabashed and sordid self-righteousness and piety that spews forth from the Vatican and nefariously creeps it’s culpable fingers into every corner of the earth is nothing short of deplorable. Make no mistake about it; God will not find favor in boastfulness, but instead in the humbleness that is in the spirit of those that fear him and believe. “A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.” (Proverbs 29:23)

This is a blatant substitution for the true Word of God. No man can add to God’s plan for salvation, but unfortunately, they do and many people will fall victim to their deceits. Believe me, no membership in any denomination of Christian worship will send you to heaven. Despite the above statement by the Catholic Church there is not a one-way flight to heaven with a layover in Rome. If the pope is the pilot, then you can count me out. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph 2:8-9). That faith will qualify you for inclusion in the Church in which Jesus is the cornerstone. I, for one, will not be the one at the judgment seat of Christ and tell him, “Thanks, but no thanks. I really didn’t think that you had all the answers, so I added some requirements.” Salvation is not achieved through the work that it takes to become a catholic, and certainly not from following doctrines that were never passed down through the Word of God. Any church that makes the claim that they are the link to heaven is guilty of heresy and blasphemy. The link between humanity and eternal life is Jesus Christ. Let’s pray that they will humble themselves before it is too late. “For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” (Luke 14:11)

Friends, the Catholic Church is trying to teach the world that if you have knowledge of their existence and reject them that are subject to eternal damnation. Well, I daresay that I have knowledge of the Catholic Church and feel blessed to have that knowledge, because it is biblically unacceptable and therefore easily rejected. I’ll not serve the pious whims and ramblings of imperfect men in hopes of finding salvation. “…as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Josh 24:15)

If any church tries to tell you that you must assimilate or be damned please find comfort in the Word of God. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) If it was good enough for the thief on the cross almost two thousand years ago, then pray tell, why would it not be good enough today? The fact of the matter is that God was so loving of the species that he created that he made it very simple to join him in everlasting life: belief in His Son, Jesus Christ. (John 3:16)

As a final thought please remember these verses in Paul’s second epistle to the church at Corinth:

“But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.“ (2 Corinthians 11:12-15)

And when worldly organizations try to convince you that you have no salvation outside of the complexities of their conundrum of a belief system, please, friends remember that Paul himself had these fears for the churches that he helped found almost two thousand years ago:

“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” (2 Corinthians 11:3)                                            ——Anthony Dentler

WARNING: Book entitled “The Shack” is heresy

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

“The Shack” promotes God as a woman who does not judge people.

They (Lifeway Bible Bookstores of Southern Baptist) are cautioning people before they read the book  to “READ WITH DISCERNMENT”  thinking this  removes them from the charge that they are promoting the book.  They are guilty of promoting because they are selling it.   The dollar is more important to the Southern Baptist than Truth.  By means of this disclaimer, Lifeway intends to make money from this popular book while avoiding responsibility for its heresies, but it won’t work. The Bible warns that if we do not disassociate strictly from those who preach false christs, we become partakers of their evil deeds (2 John 7-11). Lifeway is not only associating with William Young and his heresies by selling the book, but they are actually putting funds into his coffers to enable him to promote his heresies.

The Lifeway warning says the book “MAY contain” thoughts contrary to sound theology and urges readers to use discernment, but they don’t identify anything in particular and a large percentage of their customers doubtless lack the Bible knowledge and spiritual discernment required to discern truth from error. This is like serving up a dish contaminated with poison to children and warning them to eat with caution! The Lifeway bookstores are filled to the brim with psychology, self-help, self-esteem, romance novels, ecumenical and charismatic literature, undependable Bible versions, and all sorts of “Christian” rock music.

DAILY THOUGHT: “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.  Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.  Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:  For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” —2 John 7-11

The Heresy of a book entitled “The Shack”

SOWING DISCORD AMONG THE BRETHREN….

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

BIBLE VERSES: “These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

  • A proud look
  • A lying tongue
  • Hands that shed innocent blood
  • An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations
  • Feet that be swift in running to mischief
  • A false witness that speaketh lies
  • NUMBER SEVEN IS AN ABOMINATION:   ” he that soweth discord among brethren.

THE 7 SEALED BOOK…

Friday, February 19th, 2010

DAILY VERSES:  ”And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.” —Revelation 5:1-4

BIBLE  THOUGHT:  This “7 sealed book,” represents the secret purposes of God about to be revealed. The designs and methods of Divine Providence, toward the church and the world, are stated, fixed, and made a matter of record.  Hebrews 13:8 tells us that Jesus Christ is the same and He does not change. Judgment is coming.  John, the man that God is showing these things to, wept because no man was found worthy to look into the book. Those who see most of God, are most desirous to see more; as a Believer there should be a hunger for the Word of God as we are advised in 1 Peter 2:2 “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” If John wept much because he could not look into the book of God’s decrees, what reason have many to shed floods of tears for their ignorance of the gospel of Christ! Or, a Believer because he has missed a day of fellowship through the neglect of reading of His Word!

DAILY THOUGHT:  John’s desire to see what God had written brought tears to his eyes. When was the last time  the precious Word of God brought tears to yours?

ROMAN CATHOLIC DOCTRINE

When considering doctrines of devils, friends, let us remember that Satan is a trickster and is cunning and sly in his approach. He would not waste his time in telling you to follow him and enjoy everlasting torture. Quite to the contrary, I believe that he would promise you salvation through other means than Jesus Christ. What better way to remove a true believer in Christ than to offer a false sense of security in those things that are not involved in salvation.

As we go through the next couple of weeks exposing the doctrines of man’s religions (currently the Roman Catholic Church), please keep in mind that we love all our neighbors as we are directed to by Christ. “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” (John 13:34) But, even though we love the people, we cannot love the doctrines of men, as we are directed: “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed” (2 John 1:10)

The following are claims that are made in the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church. In other words, as a Catholic, it is required of you to believe in this. Friend, do not take my word for it, instead look for yourself. All the pieces of catechism in this writing are attributed to and can be found at the following website: http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p123a9p6.htm

These are a fraction of the beliefs that the Roman church holds in regards to Mary, the mother of Jesus:

“The Virgin Mary . . . is acknowledged and honored as being truly the Mother of God and of the redeemer. . . . She is ‘clearly the mother of the members of Christ’ . . . since she has by her charity joined in bringing about the birth of believers in the Church, who are members of its head.”502 “Mary, Mother of Christ, Mother of the Church.”503

To claim that Mary, the mother of Jesus, is also the mother of all Christians is to place her on the same level as the Father. We have one Father in heaven. Never in the Bible does it claim that we also have a Mother in heaven. A mother, who by the way, must have been a sinner; otherwise she would not have needed a Savior. But, she did.. “And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.” (Luke 1:47)

While Catholics are required to believe that Mary was without sin her entire life, the Bible is very clear that, except for the man Christ Jesus, that is not the case:

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one (Rom 3:10)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23)

To help put this in perspective, let us also remember another passage from the book of Romans… For there is no respect of persons with God. (Rom 2:11)

“This motherhood of Mary in the order of grace continues uninterruptedly from the consent which she loyally gave at the Annunciation and which she sustained without wavering beneath the cross, until the eternal fulfillment of all the elect. Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but by her manifold intercession continues to bring us the gifts of eternal salvation . . . . Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of Advocate, Helper, Benefactress, and Mediatrix.”

I was fairly certain that eternal salvation came from God. Not once in the Bible does it refer to eternal salvation being given to men due to an intercession of Mary, the mother of Jesus. “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,” (1 Thes 5:9) And how is that salvation obtained?  “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Eph 2:8) In your Christian life you are you “rightly dividing the word of truth?” (2 Tim 2:15) Friend, I say if you are then you will find that the Bible makes no claims that you must have intercession from Mary, the mother of Jesus, in order to receive salvation. It is a “gift of God”.

Let us look closer at this statement in the Catholic Catechism. The church offers titles of Advocate, Helper and Mediatrix to Mary. What does the Bible point us to when we need a Helper?

Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. (Psalms 54:4)

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (Hebrews 13:6)

Or an advocate?

And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: (John 2:1)

Or how about if you are looking for a Mediator?

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1Timothy 2:5)

With a Helper, Advocate and Mediator in Jesus Christ why would one even dream of turning to another? As believers in Christ we do not need any other intercession than is offered by Christ on our behalf.

“Finally the Immaculate Virgin, preserved free from all stain of original sin, when the course of her earthly life was finished, was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory, and exalted by the Lord as Queen over all things, so that she might be the more fully conformed to her Son, the Lord of lords and conqueror of sin and death.”508 The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin is a singular participation in her Son’s Resurrection and an anticipation of the resurrection of other Christians

Aren’t fairy tales fun….

But, in all seriousness friends, let us pray that at least some will see their way around the falsehoods of doctrines of men. To lay your faith in anything other than Jesus Christ goes against everything that the Bible teaches us. Of course the Catholic will mock us believers as being bound by “Solo Scriptura,” or believing that the Bible is the sole authority in matters of faith. For we do not give heed to the doctrines of popes or bishops or follow tradition; because as our Lord told the Pharisees “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered” (Mark 7:13)

I was told recently by a Catholic acquaintance that “The Bible contains passages which are not readily understandable or clear which demonstrates the need for an authoritative and infallible teacher.” I feel sorry for this person. That means that they believe that the Word of God was not meant for everyone to understand, but to be interpreted by one and disseminated down to the masses. This would preclude someone from doing what is required: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Tim 2:15) Any religion that convinces its followers that they are not intelligent enough to discern scripture on their own through the help of the Holy Spirit really has a powerful hold over the masses. But, true believers in the Word of God will know that is not the case, “..for this thing was not done in a corner.” (Acts 26:26) And most importantly we are told by Peter, whom they claim to be their first pope, that which is contrary to the above claim: “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.” (2 Peter 1:20) It is also made clear in the Bible that scripture is what we need, not the wisdom of men: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Tim 3:16)

I will have you know, however, that the popery was not considered to be “infallible” until 1870 under Pope Pius IX. So, I guess I would have to ask: Who was the authoritative and infallible teacher until then? For you and I, friend, there has only ever been one: Jesus Christ.

Left Behind…..

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

BIBLE VERSE:  ”After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.” —Revelation 4:1

BIBLE THOUGHT:  What will you leave behind when Christ comes to take the Born Again Believer’s home via the Rapture? Think about it.  When we are gone, along with millions of others around the world, people, family members that are lost will come to your house looking, wondering, searching for you. What will they find in your house that you have LEFT BEHIND?  Porn magazines? Cabinets full of alcohol?  What channel will your TV be tuned to? Will they find God’s Word collecting dust? Every secret thing will be uncovered.  My friend, do we not realize that God sees all this and more…..at this very moment? God help us to live for Him as if He was standing right beside us

DAILY THOUGHT:  ”For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.” —Proverbs 5:21

Have you thanked God today?

Monday, February 15th, 2010

BIBLE VERSES:  ”And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying  Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” —Revelation 4:9-11

BIBLE THOUGHT:  What a sight that must have been for John to see!  Four beasts (as we know from verses 6-8) , and 24 elders ( which are representatives of the Church which have been redeemed by His Blood.  Revelation 5:8-9) praising God for creation!  All true believers wholly ascribe their redemption and conversion, their present privileges and future hopes, to the eternal and most holy God. The Born Again Believer’s on this earth should be  like them, let our praises be constant, not interrupted ;   thankful, not cold and formal;   humble, not self-confident.

DAILY THOUGHT:  ”Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name!” —Psalm 96:8

Time’s up!….

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

BIBLE VERSES: ” For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” —1 Thessalonians  4:16-18

“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.” —Revelation 4:1

BIBLE THOUGHT:  The verses in Thessalonians speak of what we call “the rapture” which simply means taken away or caught up. This is of course speaking of the church which is made up of those that have accepted Christ as their Savior. In the Book of Revelation the church is talked about up to chapter 4 and verse 1 where the Church is taken away. And that’s when TIME’S UP! The Tribulation Period will start after this point. As Believer’s, we should feel the urgency to live a life that is acceptable and pleasing to God in order that we may be able to be an effective witness to those who need Christ as their Savior. Being able to lead others to Christ is a 2 part process. It begins with how we live our lives, living a Godly Biblical life as best we can. Romans 12:2 says “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” My friend, time is ticking….and soon time will be up for us to have the opportunity to ever witness again!

God has burdened my heart to bring a series of “daily devotions” thru the Book of Revelation. And over the next several weeks I encourage you to visit the Pastors Corner, as we take a glimpse of the things to come.

DAILY THOUGHT:  ”be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” —1 Peter 3:15  Be ready… Before Time is Up!

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” —1 Timothy 4:1

Over the next several weeks, my intention is to expose the deceit, false doctrine, Apostasy, and doctrines of devils of religion, based on the preserved Word of God, the  KJV 1611.  The precious souls that believe in the apostate teachings of the Roman Catholic doctrine, Mormon doctrine, Seventh Day Adventist, Jehovah Witness, Charismatic, and Ecumenical doctrines are my concern.  Below are my stated goals in exposing these religions mentioned.  I would welcome any leaders of these beliefs to a discussion. The one thing they ALL have in common. THEY ALL ADD TO THE WORD OF GOD.

1. Expose the deceit

2. For the eyes of the people that attend these places to be OPENED to the TRUTH and come to know Christ as Savior

3. Titus 1:9-16  ” Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s sake. One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.6They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.”

ROMAN CATHOLIC HERESIES DOCUMENTED

VATICAN II RE-STATES CATHOLIC HERESIES
The Vatican II Council was an official Catholic doctrinal convocation lasting three years (from October 1962 to December 1965) and attended by more than 2400 Roman Catholic bishops. It was led by two popes, John Paul XXIII and Paul VI. These are not just the pronouncements of a Catholic apologist or even of a pope. These are the most authoritative doctrinal pronouncements of modern Roman Catholicism.

The publication cited in the following quotes is Vatican Council II—the Conciliar and Post Conciliar Documents. This volume is published by the Roman Catholic Church and contains the following Imprimatur [a Latin word meaning “let it be printed,” showing it has been approved for publication by the Catholic hierarchy]: Walter P. Kellenberg, D.D., Bishop of Rockville Centre, August 12, 1975.

The Mass a Re-sacrifice of Christ

“Hence the Mass, the Lord’s Supper, is at the same time and inseparably: a sacrifice in which the sacrifice of the cross is perpetuated; a memorial of the death and resurrection of the Lord, who said ‘do this in memory of me’ (Lk. 22:19) …

In the Mass, therefore, the sacrifice and sacred meal belong to the same mystery—so much so that they are linked by the closest bond. For in the sacrifice of the Mass Our Lord is immolated when ‘he begins to be present sacramentally as the spiritual food of the faithful under the appearances of bread and wine.’ … For in it Christ perpetuates in an unbloody manner the sacrifice offered on the cross, offering himself to the Father for the world’s salvation through the ministry of priests” (Vatican II, The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, Instruction on the Worship of the Eucharistic Mystery, Introduction, C 1,2, p. 108).

God does not offer himself thru any priests!  1 Timothy 2:5

Christ Present in the Elements of the Mass

“In this sacrament Christ is present in a unique way, whole and entire, God and man, substantially and permanently. This presence of Christ under the species ‘is called real, not in an exclusive sense, as if the other kinds of presence were not real, but par excellence” (Vatican II, The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, Instruction on the Worship of the Eucharistic Mystery, Chap. 1, E, p. 114).

“In the celebration of Mass there is proclaimed the wonderful mystery of the real presence of Christ our Lord under the eucharistic species. The Second Vatican Council and other magisterial pronouncements of the Church have confirmed this truth in the same sense and the same words as those in which the Council of Trent defined it as an article of faith. … Christ becomes present through an essential change in the elements” (Vatican II, The Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, General Instruction on the Roman Missal, foreword, 3, p. 154).

They believe that the bread and wine they partake of actually becomes the flesh and blood of Christ!  Cannabailism!  John 6:63. The flesh proffits nothing!

The Mass Is a Part of Salvation

“As often as the sacrifice of the cross by which ‘Christ our Pasch is sacrificed’ (1 Cor. 5:7) is celebrated on the altar, the work of our redemption is carried out” (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, Chapter 1, 3, p. 324).

In other words, as long as we partake in the Eucharistic we are safe!  Thats heresy!  Ephesians 2:8-9   Christ died on the cross ONCE. Not to be re-sacrificed again and again every Sunday ”  For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust” —1 Peter 3:18

and these are The Signs of the Times…..
